Here’s a little bit about me:

I have been an award-winning professional designer/art director for over 20 years, working with clients such as Disney, Edison, Cedars/Sinai, and Kaiser Permanente.
My practice has been focused the past few years on creating books for art museums, galleries, and artists. I design the entire book, from cover to cover, often also working as the “producer” of the book, for lack of a better term; I suggest what I believe is needed to make the book better (essays, quotes, different photos, etc.) and drive the production of the book. (I love books and designing books!)
I am also a photographer, focusing on portraits of artists.
I’m a long-time member of AIGA, the national design organization, and have served on the board of the local AIGA chapter.
I am a fine artist with extensive knowledge and experience in painting, drawing, photography, and screen printing. I frequently exhibit my artwork; some is under the Art & Photo section of this website.
I have a very wide range of creative interests, including books, photography, art, illustration, design, architecture, films, underground comics and zines, punk/new wave/no wave music and culture, the 70s/80s NY art and music scene, etc.
Most weekends you could usually find me going to art openings in Los Angeles.
