“Projections” was my first attempt at projecting images on the human body – in this case, my own.
The images I chose were all from popular culture and things I had lying around the house – images from books or magazines of Warhol’s Marilyn, Elvis Presley, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Ernest Hemingway.
I projected them on me and photographed myself to see what I would get. A few months later, this concept would evolve into my “Artifacts” series.
